ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - Dozens of people got a glimpse into how Albemarle County is doing its part to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

On Monday, March 18, the county held an open house to kick off phase one of its climate action planning process.

Staff members were on hand to provide information, answer questions, as well as discuss ideas on how to address climate change on the local level.

Through the plan, the county will create reduction goals as well as strategies to reach them.

The board of supervisors will discuss the plan in depth at its meeting on Wednesday.
