Greene County Resident James Murphy Announces Bid for At-Large Supervisor

Ruckersville, VA, USA March 18th, 2019 – James K Murphy Jr., a resident of Ruckersville, Virginia, is excited to announce he has filed to run as a candidate for the Greene County At-Large Seat on the Board of Supervisors.
He will hold a kickoff event on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019, at the Stanardsville Volunteer Fire Company Inc. firehouse, located at 275 Celt Rd Stanardsville, Virginia, starting at 1:00 pm and warmly welcomes the Greene County community and any members of the press who wish to attend.

Murphy believes local government has the largest impact on our daily lives. Using conservative values as a guidepost, he desires to serve the Greene community in order to prevent big government’s continued intrusion on the rural qualities and free market principles the people of Greene County embrace with pride.
Murphy has spent his career in service to the community and the nation. He has proudly served in the United States Navy, in the U.S. House of Representatives (as a Congressional staffer), in the Department of Defense, and currently as an analyst for a defense contractor at a U.S. Army installation in Central Virginia. James also serves on the Region Ten Board of Directors as Greene County’s representative.
