ORANGE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - Volunteers in Orange County are making sure people have a clean final resting place.

Graham Cemetery in Orange County held its first spring cleanup on Saturday.

Every year, the cemetery needs help cleaning up memorials and flowers that have been left behind before mowing season begins.

One of the volunteers said it meant a lot to him because he knows a lot of people laid to rest there.

"As I walk around I see a lot of guys that I went to school with, high school in Orange County. Of course, I know a lot of people here, I've been in Orange my whole life and I'm retired so it gives me something to do," said Tommy Landis, Graham Cemetery Trustee.

Another cleanup date has not been scheduled yet, but people are always free to volunteer their time to help keep the cemetery clean.
