Albemarle Supervisor Ann Mallek Hears from Constituents at Town Hall
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - An Albemarle County supervisor is listening to her constituents on issues that her area of the county may be facing.
Supervisor Ann Mallek held a town hall meeting at Brownsville Elementary School for members of the White Hall district on Thursday, March 7.
Some of the topics addressed included traffic, speeding, and the need for continued infrastructure at schools.
Mallek says another big issue for people in her district is dealing with an increase in taxes.
"This is combined at a time when, for two years in a row, either their land value may have gone up a lot or their home value this year has gone up a lot, so people are feeling a very big bill increase in some situations," Mallek said.
Mallek will hold another town hall on Saturday inside the White Hall Community Building at 10 a.m.
