CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Dozens of community members packed CitySpace Thursday morning to talk about bicycle and pedestrian trails in the area.

Charlottesville Tomorrow hosted the coffee conversation Thursday, March 7. The discussions focused on issues of connectivity when it comes to bicycling, walking and hiking in the area.

One panelist says the event was a great way to recognize the good work between the city and Albemarle County, while also highlighting areas that need improvement.

“It's not only for being a great environment for companies to thrive and prosper, but also places for a community where people are healthy and productive,” said Peter Krebs, Piedmont Environmental Council.

Krebs says the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission just finished a bicycle and pedestrian plan for the region. He says this will be a challenge that will require support from the community.
