Staunton Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Role in Murder-for-Hire Plot
STAUNTON, Va. (WVIR) - A judge has ordered a Staunton man to spend 10 years behind bars for his role in a murder-for-hire plot.
Last November in Augusta County, 21-year-old Devon Fauber pleaded guilty to two counts of solicitation to commit murder.
He admitted to using a website called Rent-A-Hitman: Your Point and Click Solution in an attempt to have a former girlfriend and her parents killed.
The judge recognized Fauber's intellectual disability and mental health challenges, but said most people don't hire a hit man after a bad break-up.
