Free Charlottesville Exercise Program Welcomes New Mothers

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - A Charlottesville exercise program created specifically for new mothers and their babies is inviting them to come out for a free week of classes.
Baby Boot Camp Charlottesville says this time of year can be difficult for new moms looking to get back into shape but who don't know where to start.
The free classes include cardio, flexibility and strength training that are also designed to be fun for children.
Owner Kira Sullivan says January can be a tough month for new moms. She says she sees a lot of new moms struggling to get back into shape with a lack of sleep and often depression.
That's one of the reasons Sullivan holds the free week of classes every January to give these moms a chance to get back in shape, and meet other moms.
"We understand, and we have all been there, so come with spit-up on your shirt, come sleepless and exhausted ,come with your crying baby or your screaming toddler, come feeling out of shape, and we promise this is the place for you," said Sullivan.
Baby Boot Camp welcomes moms of all ages and all skill levels. Sullivan also provides bubbles, stories and toys for the kids.
Classes are held at Skyline Church near Whole Foods weekday mornings from 9:20 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.
Baby Boot Camp is getting ready to launch Saturday classes that will be held at Laughing Dragon at 9:45 a.m.
