CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Happy Festivus for the rest of us, as the pop-culture holiday is celebrated in Charlottesville.

What started as a pop-culture reference from the popular television show "Seinfeld" has turned into a full holiday for many in the Charlottesville area.

On the eve of Christmas Eve dozens are celebrating Festivus at Boylan Heights for the 10 year anniversary celebration.

Enjoying the holiday with music, drinks and a good time.

The television version of Festivus includes participating in the 'airing of grievances' which is an opportunity to tell others how they have disappointed you in the past year, it is often followed by a Festivus dinner.
