Port St. Lucie police said a man offered pot to an employee at McDonald's.

The worker said Anthony Gallagher, 23, came through the drive-thru early Sunday morning and offered a baggie of marijuana for food.

The worker said no and Gallagher drove off.

Police said not long after the first time, Gallagher went through the drive-thru again.

An officer was at the restaurant investigating the first incident when they saw Gallagher and smelled pot coming from his vehicle.

Police found 11 grams of marijuana on Gallagher.

Gallagher told police he did offer pot in exchange for food, but said it was a joke.

Gallagher was arrested for possession of marijuana under 20 grams and DUI, police said.

He was taken to the St. Lucie County Jail.
