CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The Virginia football team will play in its a bowl game in two weeks, as the Cavaliers take on South Carolina in the Belk Bowl.

The bowl will be the final game in orange and blue for UVa's sixteen seniors.

The senior class has been through ups and downs throughout their career.

They won just two games while going through a coaching change in 2016, but with seven wins so far this season, the Wahoos have guaranteed their first winning record since 2011.

Virginia is also headed to a bowl game in back-to-back seasons for the first time since a four-year streak ended in 2005.

Senior tight end Evans Butts says, "I wish it wasn't my last game here, but time does come to an end at some point.  I'm just excited to play my last game.  Such a great game, against a great opponent."

Senior linebacker Chris Peace says, "I would love nothing more than to see this team push forward and actually win a bowl game, one of the last things I can help this team do. I can't remember the last time we won a bowl game here at UVa.  It's just all momentum for next year."

The Cavaliers' last victory in a bowl game was in the Music City Bowl in 2005.

UVa will face South Carolina in the Belk Bowl on December 29th at noon in Charlotte.
