CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - A Charlottesville post office might soon get a new name after the U.S. Senate passed a bill to honor a fallen soldier.

Captain Humayun Khan graduated from the University of Virginia and died in 2004 while serving his country during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The post office on Barracks Road in Charlottesville’s new name would become Captain Humayun Khan Post Office, if President Trump signs the bill into law.
