CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Job seekers and employees are meeting up in downtown Charlottesville.

The Job Center is holding an open house at the Central Library on Wednesday afternoon.

Charlottesville Chief of Workforce Development Strategies Hollie Lee says the event gives everyone a chance to see how the employment services initiative has grown. According to Lee, the group started in 2014 and has since undergone quite a bit of change.

“We have all new staff now and we wanted to open up to the community so people could meet our staff, find out who they are, and then also let people know about the services and the new programming and events that we offer to the community as well,” Lee said.

The Job Center open house is going on until 3 p.m. on Wednesday on the bottom floor of the Central Library.
