CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Dozens gathered at a Charlottesville church Saturday evening to support the Haiti Mission Foundation.

The group has been providing medical care in the country for more than 30 years. They say Saturday’s fundraiser allows doctors to continue visiting the country four times a year to help people in need.

“Haiti is an amazing place, and the main reason we go there is that's where the Haitians are. They're great people, and to give up that or to not do that it's inconceivable to me. I've been 80 or 90 times on medical teams and that's why we do it," said Dr. Raymond Ford, medical director and president of the Haiti Mission Foundation.
