ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - An Albemarle County man will spend four decades behind bars for shooting and killing his brother-in-law.
On Monday, November 5, a judge sentenced Joshua Campbell in Albemarle Circuit Court.
He got 21 years for second-degree murder. The rest of the sentence comes from other charges, including abduction and assault and battery.
Back in August 2017, police were called out to the 2500 block of White Mountain Road in Afton where police say Campbell shot and killed Callum Boggs while he was asleep.
He then refused to let his sister and her children leave the home and attacked a police officer.
