AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - A Staunton man now faces formal charges stemming from the death of another Shenandoah Valley man earlier this year.

Augusta County deputies say 28-year-old Darryl McClurkin distributed drugs to 23-year-old Travis Johnson in February.

Johnson was later found dead from a drug overdose.

Deputies arrested McClurkin following the death, and in late September a grand jury indicted him on several charges including involuntary manslaughter and drug possession.

He is being held in Middle River Regional Jail without bond.
