UVA President Ryan Announces Expansion of Paid Parental Leave Policy
University of Virginia President Jim Ryan announced a new paid parental leave policy on Tuesday, September 11.
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - University of Virginia President Jim Ryan has announced a new paid parental leave policy.
This is for all staff members eligible for benefits under the Family and Medical Leave Act, and brings UVA into line with an executive order issued by Governor Northam in June.
The new policy, which allows eight weeks of paid parental leave to both mothers and fathers, will officially begin on January 1.
