The UVa men's basketball team got a verbal commitment Monday night for the class of 2019 from 6'10'' forward Kadin Shedrick from Holly Springs, NC.

Shedrick is rated a 4-star prospect by 247Sports and a 3-star recruit by Rivals.

He had offers from over two dozen schools, choosing Virginia over finalists, Florida, Indiana, Louisville, Wisconsin, Providence and Wake Forest.

Shedrick averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks last year as a junior at Holly Springs High School, outside Raleigh.

Shedrick joins Casey Morsell, a guard from Washington D.C., in Virginia's 2019 class.
