Charlottesville Bakery Teaming Up with Salvation Army
Charlottesville’s Great Harvest Bread Company has teamed up with the Salvation Army to collect back-to-school supplies all week long.
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Charlottesville’s Great Harvest Bread Company is decking the halls early this year by helping students in need.
The bakery has teamed up with the Salvation Army to collect back-to-school supplies all week long. The nonprofit will then donate those items to teachers in the area to use in the classroom and distribute to kids.
As a thank you for donating, Great Harvest Bread Company will be giving out a free Christmas treat.
"We love to be part of the community. We just love Charlottesville. We love the giving spirit, and we just love helping out the children," said owner Aileen Magnotto.
The drive will be happening all week long, and wrap up on Friday, July 27.
