Keswick Vineyards’ Winemaker Stephen Barnard commented on their gold medal win, “It is always lovely to get recognition from industry professionals and colleagues and I am so happy for the team that can celebrate this, but then it is hard at work the following morning making the next wine and improving
upon what we have done in the past.
This is our motivation each day, to never be satisfied and constantly push the boundaries as we try to make world class wines in Virginia.” The MWT, a subsidiary of the Jeffersonian Wine Grape Growers Society, is an association of 33 wineries surrounding Charlottesville, VA. The mission of the JWGGS is to support our members and promote quality grapes and wine produced in the Monticello AVA.
