CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The Virginia Poverty Law Center has teamed up with groups from across the commonwealth to form a new coalition aimed at reducing Virginia’s eviction rate.

The group, known as the Campaign to Reduce Eviction, says that the commonwealth's eviction rate is among the highest in the country.

Charlottesville's Legal Aid Justice Center is among the group's participants.

The campaign is expected to officially kick off on May 22 in Richmond.
