Building Goodness Foundation Receiving Donations from Cville Store
Ten Thousand Villages is donating 15 percent of its sales on Wednesday to the Building Goodness Foundation. The money will help fund construction of a school and a health clinic.
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - People buying last minute holiday gifts at one store on Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall are helping a central Virginia charity.
Ten Thousand Villages is donating 15 percent of its sales on Wednesday to the Building Goodness Foundation (BGF). That money will help fund a school the group is building in Guatemala and a health clinic in Haiti.
“We've enjoyed this partnership with Ten Thousand Villages for several years now because we are in league. Their business mission is to help develop countries and communities. And that's what we do as a nonprofit,” said BGF Executive Director Kelly Eplee.
Ten Thousand Villages sells goods from more than 60,000 artisans in developing countries.
