Wednesday afternoon at Saint Anne's Belfield 20 senior student-athletes were honored for their commitments to play sports at the college level.

STAB baseball players Jake Allen and Parker Morris will both play in the Ivy League.   Morris originally committed to Mercer but then changed his mind signing with Cornell.   Allen will play at Harvard.

Allen, a catcher, batted .431 this year with two home runs and 18 RBI.   Parker, a shortstop, batted .329 and had 14 RBI.  He also had a record of 3-1 on the mound with a 2.30 ERA.

Allen says, "To be honest, everyone says it's a dream come true, but it really wasn't even a dream for me, I thought it was an unrealistic goal, but it was something out there that I thought I could strive for and things just fell my way."

Parker says, "I realize I'm not going to be able to play baseball for the rest of my life, so I wanted a good education for afterward, and baseball in the Ivy League, its D1 baseball, its going to be cold, so I'm prepared for that so I'm excited just to help the team my first year."
