The chain is teaming up with the National Network to End Domestic Violence for its Share a Haircut program. Hair Cuttery is donating a free haircut certificate to a victim of domestic violence for every haircut purchased between May 4-5.

"This young lady came and she got a haircut, and it just made her a whole new person. She had been a victim of domestic violence, and she had gotten the courage us to remove herself from the situation, and she is getting back on her feet, " said Julie Tolbert with Hair Cuttery in Crozet.

The overall goal is to donate a total of 75,000 haircuts to victims of domestic abuse.
