More than 25 businesses set up in the Key Recreation Center as part of the science day to teach about biology, chemistry, physics and zoology.

“Most kids are going to find something here that catches their eye and its all part of science. So seeing that all those different things all fall under science can really catch that kid who's like 'eh, I don't know if I really like science anymore,'” said Kaitlin German, the education manager of Virginia Discovery Museum.

Hundreds of children and parents came out for the interactive festival. Children could drill and fill a fake tooth, tour a real ambulance, and get an up close look at the sun using a solar telescope.
