Charlottesville Church Hosts Greek Festival
Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Charlottesville is serving up some delicious Greek goodies Friday until 8 p.m. The Greek Festival offers trays and trays of homemade desserts like baklava, Greek Christmas cookies and bread.
This year, the church expanded last year's festival by adding dinner.
“We have different people in the community that step up and do their specialty and we bring a team of people in to help them, that's the way it goes,” said Kerry Caramanis, church council president.
A share of the proceeds will go to Foothills Child Advocacy Center. The center is devoted to reducing child abuse and advancing recovery of abuse victims.
