Trial set in Culpeper Police Record Forgery Case
CULPEPER, Va. (AP) - A trial is scheduled next spring for a woman accused of trying to purge her son's negative personnel record when she was an employee of the Culpeper Police Department.
Bethany Parr Sullivan, 55, of Orange is charged with forgery. The Culpeper Star-Exponent says her trial is set to begin April 16, 2013.
The alleged record alterations were discovered during a special grand jury investigation of a fatal shooting involving Sullivan's son, former Culpeper police officer Daniel Harmon-Wright.
Harmon-Wright was fired after he was indicted in June on murder and gun charges. Police say he shot and killed 54-year-old Patricia Cook after responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot.
