3 Nelson County Breweries Collaborate on Honey Pear Wit Beer
Three Nelson County breweries are coming together to craft a special beer. The brew masters from Wild Wolf, Blue Mountain and Devils Backbone are making a honey pear wit beer.
The process started Wednesday and it is the third collaborative craft beer done by the breweries. They are making 15 barrels of the beer, which will yield about 30 kegs.
Mary Wolf of Wild Wolf Brewery said, "I think the brewers have a lot of fun putting it together. It's a great way for them to spend some time and kind of share information."
The beer will be released during American Craft Beer Week in May. It will be on tap at all three breweries as well as some Charlottesville restaurants.
