Town of Orange seeking suggestions for time capsule
ORANGE, Va. (WVIR) - The Town of Orange is asking for the community’s help to share its story with future generations.
In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the town, Orange is asking for suggestions to put in a time capsule.
The capsule will go in the base of the U.S. Constitution Installation at the James Madison museum.
The plan is to have the capsule opened in 150 years.
“We’re hoping that people who know the history of the town from the last 50 to 60, 70 years can come in and maybe make suggestions as to what was going on then, and what is going on now,” Mayor Martha Roby said.
Suggestions can be made online and should be submitted by June 1. The capsule will be sealed on June 11.
