CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - If you ordered your COVID-19 tests through the government and still have not received them, you are not alone. Although the website says shipment within 12 days, delivery times have been ranging from weeks to months.

Virginia Senator Mark Warner says the problems are with supply from the government, and the USPS delivery system. He is advocating for higher pay and additional benefits for postal workers and says he understands the frustration.

“Their frustration is with the bureaucracy overhead that you they can’t keep people on a regular enough basis that they know their routes and then can get mail and critical items like COVID test delivered on a timely basis,” Warner said.

Warner says the next step is to pass the postal reform bill in congress.
