CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Nine different players scored goals, and the 8th ranked Virginia women’s lacrosse team won 15-12 at #22 James Madison on Friday.

Morgan Schwab and Taylor Regan each had a hat trick for the ‘Hoos, while Isabella Peterson scored a game-high four goals for the Dukes.

UVA jumped out to the early 4-2 lead in Harrisonburg, before JMU answered with five-straight goals.

The Cavaliers had a seven goal run, spanning halftime, and they held on for the win in the 50th all-time meeting between the two programs.

Virginia (8-2, 3-2 ACC) will be back in action on April 3rd at home against Notre Dame.

James Madison (4-3, 0-1 CAA) will travel to face Liberty on Wednesday.
