CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The Virginia softball team split a doubleheader with NC State on Saturday at Palmer Park.

The Cavaliers (7-14, 3-12 ACC) won Game One 4-2, and dropped the nightcap 6-4.

Aly Rayle went the distance on the mound in the opener, giving up two runs on five hits while striking out nine.

The teams will play Game Three on Sunday at one o’clock.
