HARRISONBURG, Va. (WVIR) - A Harrisonburg man is facing a malicious wounding charge in connection with a reported stabbing early Friday.
The Harrisonburg Police Department announced Friday, January 8, that officers were called out to a home in the 2000 block of Beery Road around 1:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found two men had been in a fight which led to the victim being stabbed.
The 49-year-old victim was transported to Sentara RMH and then to the University of Virginia Medical Center. Authorities say his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Fifty-five-year-old Wilmer Crawford was detained by officers, and was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries he sustained during fight.
