CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The Virginia women’s basketball team will play at Virginia Tech on February 2nd, the ACC announced on Tuesday.
Groundhog Day is a fitting date, as these teams were originally scheduled to play on December 20th, but the game was postponed due to COVID-19 issues in the Cavaliers program.
UVA has missed three games while on pause, and the ‘Hoos haven’t played since December 13th.
They already postponed the game at Syracuse this week, which means the next scheduled game is January 12th at Wake Forest.
That’s almost a full month with no basketball.
When they are able to retake the court, the Wahoos will be looking for their first win.
Virginia is 0-5 this season, and 0-2 in the ACC.
