Busch Gardens announces reopening for 2021 season with new special events

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WWBT) - Busch Gardens Williamsburg announced they will be reopening for the first time in January, February and March for the 2021 season.

Busch Gardens will reopen for two new limited capacity outdoor events. Those events are:

  • Winter Weekends (Jan. 15-Jan. 24) - Will feature dazzling lights, thrilling rides, wildlife experiences and fireworks finales on Saturday evenings. For a full list of events, click here. Admission is included for Membership, Annual Pass and Fun Card holders.
  • Mardi Gras (Jan. 29-Feb. 28) - Guests can indulge in the New Orleans spirit with eight decorated villages filled with cajun food, cocktails and live entertainment and music. Reservations are required and will be available soon. Admission is included for Membership, Annual Pass and Fun Card holders.

In compliance with Virginia’s phase 3 safety guidelines for reopening businesses, Busch Gardens operates with enhanced health and safety protocols for cleaning and sanitizing, physical distancing, face-covering requirements and temperature screenings.

Special event capacity will be extremely limited to create ample space for guests to enjoy their experience while maintaining physical distancing in a safe environment.
