Gov. Northam to sign criminal justice, police reform measure

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Governor Northam will hold a virtual ceremonial bill signing for criminal justice and police reform legislation.

State lawmakers passed several criminal justice and reform measures during the special session.

Earlier this week, Northam signed ‘Breonna’s Law’, which bans no-knock warrants in Virginia.

There is no word yet on exactly which bill will be signed today.

The bill signing is set to take place at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 9.
