CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The Virginia men’s basketball team forced 18 turnovers and blocked nine shots, as the Cavaliers won 63-58 at Georgia Tech on Saturday night.

The victory snaps a three-game losing streak for the 'Hoos.

Jay Huff scored 17 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and blocked six shots.

Head coach Tony Bennett says, “That’s the third game in a row where he’s really played very solid. He gave us continuous effort on the glass, he bothered shots. Everyone chipped in at different times, but specifically Jay, he really gave us a lift rim-protecting.

Mamadi Diakte scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds.

“As I said to the guys, we played better," says Bennett. "We’ve got to continue to play better and not totally eliminate, but cut down on the mistakes. We built a nice lead, but their defenses can confuse you at times. We executed for the most part, but there certainly were some lapses.”

UVa (12-5, 4-3 ACC) will be back in action against NC State on Monday night at eight o’clock at John Paul Jones Arena.
