Company and nonprofit team up to help Keswick family stay warm

CHARLOTTESVILLE, V.A. (WVIR) - As the nights get colder, one Albemarle County family is getting some help to stay warm.
The Carr family in Keswick has made it a point to give back to those in need whenever they can, and now, it is their turn to get help. Thanks to a donation from Tiger Fuel Co. and AHIP, the family will be able to stay warm throughout the season. The company partnered with the nonprofit to replace an older propane tank with a newer, more-efficient model.
In addition to a free fill up to start things off, additional pro-rated fills will help keep the Carrs’ expenses down.
“They have given all their lives to try to make other people happy and to do things to try to make them comfortable,” daughter-in-law Dolores Carr said. “Now they’re at a stage where they can’t do as much, and for someone to come in and do this for them is just absolutely wonderful.”
AHIP is always accepting donations to continue helping people in central Virginia.
