Crozet community hears update on downtown development projects

CROZET, V.A. (WVIR) - People who live in Crozet got some insight into the downtown Crozet revitalization on Tuesday.

Members of the Downtown Crozet Initiative group and the community heard from developer Frank Stoner. He gave an update on where things stand with VDOT, infrastructure design, and the Barnes Lumber and plaza projects.

DCI Chairman Meg Holden says in her 20-plus years in Crozet, she has seen a lot change.

"I'm very very encouraged and excited by what they are looking to accomplish downtown,” Holden said. “I feel like that's going to be a great community resource, it’s going to offer things in which the community has longed to have"

The group wants to see the community engage more moving forward as plans go into the final stages.
