Forecast from Meteorologist Josh Fitzpatrick: 

Some lingering high water today. Mainly in Culpeper, Greene, Orange and Madison Counties.  River flooding warning for the Rivanna River at Palmyra for minor flooding. Also river flood warnings for the Rapidan and Rappahannock Rivers this weekend. 

A warm front will lift north of the region today. This will bring the return of much warmer temperatures. Scattered showers and storms are expected mainly during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will rise back into the mid to upper 80s. Another cold front finally clears the region by late Sunday, leading to drier, less humid conditions by early next week.

Next week looks drier and less humid through Tuesday. Turning warmer and more humid by the mid and late week with a new shower and thunderstorm risk.

 

Saturday: Early clouds/fog, then partly sunny, warmer and humid. Scattered showers/storms, mainly during the afternoon and evening. Highs mid to upper 80s. Isolated severe weather possible. 

Saturday night: A spotty shower and thunderstorm. Partly cloudy, lows in the 60s. Patchy fog.

Sunday: Partly sunny, hot and humid. Some Isolated PM storms. Highs upper 80s to near 90. Lows in the 60s.

Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs mid 80s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Less Humid. Highs low 80s.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, warmer, Highs mid to upper 80s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds, hot and humid, some PM storms. Highs upper 80s to low 90s.

Friday: Sun and clouds, hot, humid, scattered storms. Highs low 90s.
