YMCA Ready to Build in McIntire Park - NBC29 WVIR Charlottesville, VA News, Sports and Weather

On Monday, Charlottesville City Council will approve a lease between the city and the YMCA for property in McIntire Park. The property will be leased to the "Y" for $1.00 a year.

The 70,000-square foot facility will be built near the picnic shelters at Mcintire Park. The new building will cost about $12 million.

YMCA officials hope to break ground for the building next year.
