No. 4 Cavaliers Win 83-56 at Boston College; Improve to 14-0 Overall

The Virginia men's basketball team scored more than 80 points in a game for the fourth time this season, and the second time in the last three games, as the No. 4 Cavaliers won 83-56 at Boston College on Wednesday night.

UVa is 30-1 all-time when scoring more than 80 points under head coach Tony Bennett.  

Mamadi Diakite and De'Andre Hunter each scored 18 points for the 'Hoos, while Ty Jerome added 13 points.

Kyle Guy scored ten points, and matched career highs in rebounds (8) and assists (5).

Virginia made 8-of-19 three-point attempts as a team, and they out-rebounded the Eagles 41-21.

The Cavaliers led 43-31 at halftime, but BC cut the deficit to seven on a Nik Popovic basket with 15:06 remaining in the 2nd half.

UVa answered with a 16-0 run that covered more than seven minutes of game-time, and effectively put the game out of reach.

Virginia (14-0, 2-0 ACC) is off to its best start since going 19-0 to begin the 2014-15 season.

The Wahoos are ranked No. 4 in the AP Top 25, and No. 1 in the Coaches Poll.

UVa will be back in action at Clemson on Saturday at noon.
