Virginia Tech to Face Cincinnati in Military Bowl on New Year's Eve

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WVIR) -

The Virginia Tech football team needed a last-minute replacement game to get there, but the Hokies are going bowling for the 26th year in a row.

That's the longest active streak in the nation.

Tech will will take on Cincinnati in the Military Bowl in Annapolis on New Year's Eve.

The Hokies come into the game with a record of 6-6 overall, while the Bearcats are 10-2.

Virginia Tech and Cincinnati are playing in a bowl game for the third time in program history.

The last meeting was in 2014, when the Hokies beat the Bearcats in the Military Bowl.
