The University of Virginia is laying the groundwork for a tuition increase.
The proposal would impact new and existing students, as well as those in both graduate and undergraduate programs starting in the 2019-2020 school year.
Undergraduate tuition increases for in-state students would range between 2% and 3%, while out-of-state students would see a slightly larger jump.
The proposed increases for most graduate and professional programs will range from 1.5% to 7%.
The UVA Board of Visitors is expected to make a decision on any increase in tuition sometime in December.
