Isaiah Washington is named Falcon Club Player of The Week.
Washington is a junior at Charlottesville High School. He usually plays running back or safety, but in last week's 31-14 win over Monticello he was named quarterback due to injury.
"My teammates and my coaches pushed me to do it, so I just told myself 'alright I'm just going to do it' and Thursday night just happened. I just did what I had to do to help my team get a victory," says Washington.
Washington rushed for over 100 yards on nine carries and three touchdowns.
"He's a big reason we performed well on Thursday night. He's just one of those kids. He's very competitive. It means something to him it's very personal. I knew he was going to perform well and give 100 percent that was required," says Head Coach Eric Sherry.
He also threw for 76 yards and had six tackles on defense.
