FORT MYERS - What did you wish for on your 10th birthday?

A new bike? A new Barbie? Maybe a new Hot Wheel?

Those things are nice, but what one local girl wished for on her 10th birthday blows them all out of the water.

Selena Thier of Fort Myers wished to have people donate to the Fort Myers Police Department's Fallen Officer Foundation.

As it turns out, wishes do come true.

Selena raised more than $3,000 for fallen officer's families! Her parents helped her collect the money at her skating rink birthday party in October. They also put together a Go Fund Me Page.

In the end, $3,077.08 was raised.

In grand fashion, she delivered the money via oversized check to the Fort Myers Police Department on Monday. Lt. Jeffery Bernice, representing the foundation, was the lucky recipient.
