Harrisonburg Police Investigating Armed Robbery

11/06/2018 Release from the Harrisonburg Police Department:

At approximately 1 a.m. this morning, the Harrisonburg Police Department responded to 7- Eleven located at 910 N. Main Street in Harrisonburg for an armed robbery that had just occurred.

According to the convenience store attendant, who was not injured, at approximately 12:55 am., two males in all black clothing wearing and red bandanas entered the store from the main entrance. One suspect revealed what appeared to be a long gun, and the other revealed a revolver-type handgun. Both suspects pointed the firearms at the attendant and walked behind the counter demanding money.

The suspects then fled the scene on foot with multiple packs of cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash in a bag. Both suspects were last seen traveling north just prior to officer’s arrival.

The Harrisonburg Police Department Major Crimes Unit is actively investigating this incident and asks anyone that may have information related to this case to please call the non-emergency number (540) 434-4436.
