The UVa football team will be looking for a bounce back-win Saturday stepping out of conference to face Liberty.
Liberty is in its first season of playing at the FBS level and has a record of 4-4. The Flames are averaging 37 points per game with a passing attack that ranks 9th in the country.
Virginia has a record of 6-3 but is coming off a disappointing loss to Pittsburgh.
"Any of us in this profession, there's high stakes and high pressure and none of us like to lose and that feeling isn't something you want to linger," says UVa coach Bronco Mendenhall. "That feeling isn't something you want to linger. So there's an urgency added to the next game, where you want it to go away. That feeling."
"We're right down the road from them, I'm sure they'll be fired up," says UVa senior tight end Evan Butts. "They have a pretty loyal fan base, I'm sure they'll travel pretty well. We're not expecting, I'm not expecting to take this team lightly."
"How we perform this week is a chance to get better and that's the way we're framing it," says UVa long snapper Joe Spaziani. "I'm fired up. It's just another opportunity for us to get better."
