ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) -

Fashion Square Mall was evacuated on Saturday, November 3, after reports of an electrical burning smell.

The Seminole Trail Volunteer Fire Department responded to the situation, and said that a power issue with air handling units and other equipment led to the smell and some smoke.

Firefighters with the department called in Dominion Virginia to take over and resolve the issue.

On Saturday night, some of the stores closed due to the power outage remained closed.
