An Indiana man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for a stabbing on Interstate 64 in July of last year.
Friday an Albemarle County judge sentenced 48-year-old Rodney Burnett for malicious wounding, and other charges, which carried additional years.
According to court documents, Burnett stabbed the victim multiple times in the abdomen and neck while she was driving on Interstate 64. He then left her bleeding on the side of the road.
Burnett says he plans to appeal the decision.
