The former Ladd Elementary School in Waynesboro is now under contract.

Augusta County has a contract with Berkley Development LLC.

According to the contract, the Atlanta-based company is buying the nearly 13-acre property located on Rosser Avenue in Waynesboro for $4.2 million.

Barring an inspection and permitting a part of the sale process, it could be a year before the property is closed on.
